iF award for the sofa Seam by prostoria

The international iF award has been awarding excellent design and outstanding design achievements for more than 50 years (since 1953). Its quality has been recognized world wide, thus all register, from major automotive company brands to small and independent design studios. More than 50 experts met in Hamburg this year as well, to select the winners of the iF design award 2015.

Sofa Seam (prev. Contour, design: Böttcher Henssler Kayser) is the winner of this year’s interior innovation award 2015 awarded by the German Design Council. The new award only further confirmed the excellence of this product. The unifying line which characterizes the sofa Seam goes all along the sofa and draws its shape. The straight outside outlines come in contradiction with softness of the padded seat, armrests and backrest. The thin legs made of square section bended bar follow on from the seams and bring lightness to its volume. Seam is a unique system of sofa regarding its inclined cut on sides. It makes it more welcoming just like its shape.
