Rhomb wins the German Design Award 2017

The German Design Award, one of the most prestigious design competitions in the world, every year awards the international prize for excellent achievements in international design.

Among this year's winners is a Croatian product Rhomb, which unique design has been recognised by the members of the international jury, and once again awarded the company prostoria with a prestigious award – winner in the category Universal design.

Rhomb is a spacious, comfortable and solid chair with armrests produced in combination of the latest wood processing technology and sophisticated handcraft. The character of a chair is defined through rhomboid section which rotates and changes its shape depending on the function of the curve that unites backrest and armrest. Through selection of several types, colours and finishes of solid wood, the chair changes its character and easily adapts to various interior situations in residential and public spaces.

The irreplaceable silhouette and timeless elegance are a result of another successful and award-winning cooperation between prostoria and a young Zagreb's designer Simon Morasi Piperčić.

In 2015 the same team designed and produced the armchair Strain, which was also recognised and awarded with 3 renowned international awards (the Interior Innovation Award, the Red Dot Design Award and the Golden Key).

The presently awarded chair Rhomb recently received an addition to the family – a dining table which with its design and top performance supports the main features of the chair. The rhomboid section is dominant on the legs of the table and in contrast with the quiet table top makes the only playful detail on the model which provides specific subtlety and charm.

Maybe prostoria has got another competitive product likely to get international awards in the near future?
