An extraordinary example of industrial design in a residential space – a team of Belgium architects from Boost Architectuur showed us how to use big/large concrete surfaces in a residential space, and combine them with warm materials, interesting details and good lighting, to achive impressive and yet cosy atmosphere.

Situated on a beautiful location, hotel Kompas provides a magnificient view of the sea.

It has a very clear concept where every room has a unique view of a Kvarner bay.

It consists of a solid basement which is a wine celler and is being used as a place of meeting and socializing with friends and guests.

Traditional Zagorje cottage, situated on the green slopes near Kumrovec,  was structurally and statically in poor condition. It was carefully renovated taking into consideration the characteristics of local heritage and design. An unusual combination of traditional and contemporary, brought to this house an extraordinary quality.

The Courtyard House has been designed for relaxed living. Spaces are arranged around a large central courtyard, drawing light and breezes into the house and creating a strong connection between all living zones.

The project resolved “the donut effect” – an old acquaintance in Austria’s communities. It slyly draws frequency away from the town center via local suppliers on the periphery and causes it to die out. This new community center is supporting the development of the village’s center.
