VR53 Easy chair combines architectural precision with an unexpectedly soft and relaxed presence. Its distinctive wooden base forms a sculptural X-like gesture that appears both stable and weightless, gently lifting the upholstered volumes above the floor. The rounded seat and backrest create a sense of calm comfort, while the inclined posture invites a more informal, lounge-like way of sitting. Though minimal in construction, the chair feels warm, tactile and quietly expressive, balancing geometric discipline with softness and ease.
Vjenceslav Richter worked across architecture, art and design — treating them as one continuous field. As part of EXAT 51 and New Tendencies, he helped shape a culture of experimentation that connected Zagreb to an international network of ideas.
Richter+ is a collaborative platform that brought together the design studios Numen/For Use, Neisako and Grupa to develop the Richter Collection in partnership with Prostoria's in-house R&D team.
