VR58 easy chair is defined by a rigorous interplay between an orthogonal tubular steel frame and sculpted wooden elements that appear suspended within it. The distinctive X-shaped connection beneath the seat reinforces the chair’s structural clarity while creating a sense of visual tension and balance. Though geometric and disciplined in expression, the curved seat, backrest and armrests introduce warmth and tactile comfort, giving the chair a calm and quietly monumental presence.
Vjenceslav Richter worked across architecture, art and design — treating them as one continuous field. As part of EXAT 51 and New Tendencies, he helped shape a culture of experimentation that connected Zagreb to an international network of ideas.
Richter+ is a collaborative platform that brought together the design studios Numen/For Use, Neisako and Grupa to develop the Richter Collection in partnership with Prostoria's in-house R&D team.
