House H
Privlaka, Hrvatska
Perched on the coast of Privlaka, House H is designed as a dialogue between architecture and the Adriatic. It stretches across a 600 m² plot, where sea and sky are ever-present, thanks to floor-to-ceiling glass façades that invite the horizon indoors.
The spatial arrangement cleverly inverts expectations: the main living area is on the upper floor, where natural light and views are most generous. From the sheltered veranda, shaded by a textile canopy and framed by a slender steel structure, the house opens up into a fluid living space - kitchen, dining, and lounge flowing seamlessly from one to the next. Here, Prostoria’s Strain table and Rhomb chairs anchor the dining area with quiet strength, their sculptural forms resonating with the architectural language of the house. In more intimate corners, Osmo outdoor chairs continue the conversation - moving the experience outdoors without breaking the aesthetic thread.
The kitchen counter is lined with Monk barstools, whose soft geometry contrasts with the precision of the architecture, adding a touch of visual ease and warmth. On the balcony overlooking the sea, where the boundary between indoor and outdoor space almost disappears, the Polygon Outdoor lounge chair invites you to relax. In other outdoor corners, the Osmo outdoor lounge chair creates a tranquil zone for rest, as your gaze drifts toward the sea horizon.
Local materials root the house in place. Famous Brac island limestone, used both inside and out, provides continuity and a tactile quality; its neutral tone lets the shifting light take center stage. Like Prostoria furniture itself, the architecture of House H is built on contrasts: rigor and softness, structure and fluidity, inside and out - brought together in perfect equilibrium.
