The panel Innovative Entrepreneurship and Capital Markets brought together different perspectives on entrepreneurship and growth. Knezović was joined by Ivan Jurišić, Ivan Bešlić of Sofascore and Karlo Vulin of BoogieLab&Bakery, in a conversation moderated by Ana Radišić.
“With every new design, we take a leap into the unknown. At Prostoria, creativity doesn’t belong to designers alone. It is equally present in the hands and minds of craftspeople, engineers, product developers and everyone involved in bringing an idea to life.”
Since its beginnings, Prostoria has developed products through a close relationship between design and making. Designers learn from craftspeople and craftspeople from designers, while engineers and product developers contribute their own expertise. Rather than following a linear process, the team works openly across disciplines, testing ideas, questioning assumptions and looking together for the best possible solution.
This way of working has also been a way of building knowledge. Each new product presents a different challenge, requiring the team to explore materials, technologies, construction and production methods. Solutions developed for one project become part of the collective expertise carried into the next.
What connects the team is a shared curiosity and care for the outcome. Everyone involved takes ownership of the project and contributes to making each product the best it can be.
Over time, this exchange has made creativity part of Prostoria’s culture rather than the domain of a single discipline. Design, engineering, craftsmanship, development and manufacturing continually inform one another.
It is through this collective capacity to explore, learn and make that Prostoria has grown from a local furniture maker into an international design brand.
