Prostoria is participating in ICONIC PIECES – Design Post Celebrates 20 Years of Design History, a curated anniversary exhibition marking two decades of Design Post Cologne as a key European design platform. The exhibition reflects the evolution of European design over the past 20 years. Prostoria is represented both through its permanent showroom at Design Post and as one of 34 international brands selected for the anniversary exhibition.
Prostoria’s featured piece is Polygon, designed by with Numen / For Use and presented within the Innovation & Avantgarde section of the exhibition.
Polygon reflects Prostoria’s early commitment to creativity and trust in the design process. Inspired by the classic modernist chair typology, it retains all of its traditional elements while subtly deconstructing them, establishing new relationships between seat, backrest, and structure. With modest dimensions and a clear functional logic, Polygon avoids visual bulk while offering a strong spatial presence.
The result is a chair that feels familiar yet unmistakably contemporary — balancing modernist heritage with experimentation, and clarity with reinterpretation.
Rather than focusing on individual manufacturers, ICONIC PIECES places furniture within a broader cultural narrative. Across four thematic spaces — from design icons and craftsmanship to innovation and light — the exhibition reflects the evolution of European design over the past 20 years.
Within this context, Polygon enters into dialogue with historic classics and contemporary experiments by brands such as Magis, Moroso, Andreu World, and Arper, highlighting Prostoria’s position within a forward-looking European design landscape.
